From a reading circle in Helsinki to a scholarly bridge connecting Bangladesh and the Nordic region.
The Exchange started as a grassroots initiative among Bangladeshi scholars, university research fellows, and expat professionals residing in Scandinavia. Witnessing the massive gap in peer-to-peer scholarly mentorship and structured comparative analysis between South Asia and Europe, our founders set out to build an independent portal.
What began as an informal digital reading group in Helsinki discussing Finnish municipal transparency rules soon expanded. By formalizing our operations under a Finnish registered association (pending RY approval), we are establishing direct partnerships with universities and civic associations globally.
